... my laundry basket is empty, save for one bra & two pairs of socks.

let's ignore the mountain of clean stuff that needs to be put away though

Feel free to share your win of the day Grin

That sounds amazing. It's like a gift from past you to future you!

Unlike when you strip the bed and don't immediately put clean sheets on. That's like a punishment from past you to future you...

that is so so true, (both of them) I love it

loveliesbleeding1 · 24/03/2022 17:23

I’ve just made a shepherds pie.

Littlemissprosecco · 24/03/2022 17:28

Somehow I’ve made enough Chilli to feed an army( used all leftover veg from fridge!) will freeze for lazy days, and have a clean veg drawer. Double whammy!!

VivaLaRaza · 24/03/2022 17:34

After the last 5 days of sunshine in a row, my laundry basket is finally empty. This probably hasn’t happened since last year! I also hoovered the stairs, put away the laundry and also hoovered the stairs. I’m feeling pretty happy with myself

Genius! I was going to do a tuna pasta bake with some peppers and courgette that were looking past their best, but realised we were put of tuna partway through. So it's mackerel pasta bake - hoping it turns out OK!

Sorry you're sore today, fibro can really make you pay for a busy day. How long have you had it, I'm in my 39th year, thankfully I married a great guy who'll also lie on the bed the day I need him too. I gave up ironing unless going somewhere special. Hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

kizzywizz · 24/03/2022 19:28

@LeftieLucy

I put a beef stew in the slow cooker at 7am and it smells delicious. Shame I now have no appetite as I’ve been dipping bread in it all day 😫
Save it until tomorrow, it always tastes better the next day.
TooManyPJs · 24/03/2022 19:54

I don't think I've ever had an empty laundry basket!

EV117 · 24/03/2022 19:57

Empty laundry baskets weird me out tbh. I always leave a T-shirt or something in there for good measure Grin

Bloodybridget · 24/03/2022 20:04

When I was hanging the washing out this morning, I found the sock that was missing from Tuesday's load. It must have been in the laundry basket, although it certainly wasn't when I was searching for it then.

There's only me and DP at home usually, and this week only me, and I never lose socks [preens].

There's a bra and two pairs of socks, so hopefully that will keep the Empty Basket Demon away.

Matching socks!?
That normally happens when they are new but once they've entered the black hole of washing a pair they never be. I've got a bucket of mismatched socks just can't be arsed to go through sorting them.

MackenCheese · 24/03/2022 21:12

Another empty laundry basket here today! 😊

rachie28 · 24/03/2022 21:14

@namechangeanonymous

I love a empty washing basket... There was that one time in summer 2020 I managed it. Ahh memories.
😂
fatisnotafeeling · 24/03/2022 21:29

Mine was empty until the toddler had a bath and then his clothes went in there, and then the towels so another 2 loads waiting for me tomorrow.

I did clean all the windows and skirting plus got all the cobwebs the other day so I am pleased with myself for that.

Willow1981 · 24/03/2022 21:58

I'm babysitting a few teenagers tonight. I convinced them to clean the kitchen.
They did a bang up job.

I then lost all my points by having to call my Dad to help me change a flat tyre. In my defence I have only been driving 2 years.
But I am 40+.

MoFro · 24/03/2022 22:17

@MaryAndHerNet

I'm not counting the load in my machine as its technically in progress

Ah yes, it's one of my important steps...
Collect in basket..
Shove in washer when sick of looking at it..
Wait to fill the drum...
Wash it...
Forget about it..
Re wash it...
Hang it up.

🤪

I have the same system 😬
MrsFionaCharming · 24/03/2022 22:44

I emptied and repacked the dishwasher! It’s the first time in about 2 months I’ve felt well enough to bend over (morning sickness).

It’s not a massive success, but it made DH so happy it feels like one. He’s been so good doing everything without complaint whilst I’ve been ill, I don’t think I realised how difficult he’s finding it.

cheninblanc · 24/03/2022 23:15

I cooked a roast, after working till 5 as my daughter asked for one. I hate cooking so it was a massive achievement

WeasilyPleased · 25/03/2022 00:11

I cleaned the dog nose art off the living room windows today. Half an hour later it was back again 🙈

Deathraystare · 25/03/2022 08:17

(Scratches head) Do you all have magic wands? Mine has been sitting there for over a week and I keep putting it off. I am going to have to do it on Saturday (after I watch Married at first sight of course) as I won't have any clean clothes left.

AwkwardPaws27 · 25/03/2022 08:55

Look at you all getting shit done!
Gin for everyone later (except me, 7 months pregnant, boo).

I was so motivated by your tales of achievement that, last night, instead of moving the teetering pile of clean laundry from the bed to precariously balance on a stool, I actually put the damn stuff away!
