Recommendations for best home treatment for BAD split ends and ruined hair , !

Please can I have your recommendations for products to get my hair sorted, its really damaged from irons, colours and straightening.

I don't want to have to cut it short, but maybe a last resort.

Olaplex is brilliant.

It’s sorted my coloured, heat damaged hair right out.

Kerastase blonde absolut treatment is my favourite - it smells beautiful too!

You can’t fix bad split ends, no matter what the product claims. You can use products to make it look a bit smoother but it will just become more damaged in the long run. An eventual chop is inevitable - that or split ends forever.

You can’t fix split ends. Split ends will just keep splitting up the hair so they need to be removed.

Your best bet is to go as short as you are happy to go. Regular trims when it grows to keep getting rid of the split ends and then let it grow.

Use treatments a couple of times a week.

Agree - you have to cut.

A few years ago medication I was on destroyed my hair. It had to be cut to a bob to save it.

Totally worth it. It is longer and healthier than ever now.

You could try K18 - so much better than Olaplex - but it won't fix your split ends, and if your split ends are that bad you're risking the split travelling up the shaft.

Thank you all, going to put off the cutting it all off for the moment, a short bob just would not suit me.

Going to try the K18 first, have been reading the reviews of Olaplex and K18 and it seems to have the edge over Olaplex, although it is bloody pricey. Then will get regular trims and hope for the best as it grows.

Try and at least have a trim to get rid of some dead ends :)
