Sertraline for Anxiety

Im 5o this year and going through the menopause. I have been suffering with bad anxiety. I have a teenage daughter who has issues of her own, mainly coping with anger, and an ill mum with cancer which came out of the blue as shes was a healthy active 67 year old.
I was drinking too much as i was finding it helps me to relax although only in the short term as it could make things so much worse the day after.
I have started taking Sertraline a week ago and already feel much better. A few minor side effects but sleeping like a baby which is nice.
I havent had any alcohol but im going on holiday next week and was hoping to enjoy a glass of wine of two.
What are other peoples experiences of drinking while taking Sertraline?

It’s fine in moderation

Have you also looked at HRT? It can make a real difference to mood.

It’s fine as long as you don’t go over board!

You might find as you haven’t been taking it too long then you will get some worse side effects (headache, nausea) but once your body has established itself on them, you should be fine!
