Helping people in Ukraine directly

This is just a reminder that you can buy instant digital downloads from people based in Ukraine through Etsy. They can access the money as soon as you download the image. People with small businesses selling all kinds of things now have a few pictures, local recipes, knitting patterns, etc to download. You can use the filter to specify location Ukraine or specific towns/areas in Ukraine.

I've noticed that some of the images are the same between different sellers, so there is probably sharing of images going on through social media etc. As far as I'm concerned, that's fine - it's not about the pictures for me.

Does anyone have other ideas to get ££ directly to individual people & families in Ukraine? While there are still things to buy, this seems like a useful way to help people whose businesses have collapsed. I have read that prices for food etc have gone up a lot in the towns, but obviously it's too late to send money to the residents in some of the most hard-struck places Sad

Up to you, of course.

I'm looking at small businesses which already have a selling record established. People who normally make and sell belts, toys, clothes, embroideries, rugs. People who then send me photos of the basements they are hiding in, with themselves in the picture. People who can just about still buy food and medicine, but whose income has disappeared. People who are trying to keep animal shelters running, with photos of themselves and the shelter and the bags of animal food, not generic stock photos.

But, as I say, it's up to you.
