With the world being so full of doom and gloom recently, I thought a light hearted thread might hopefully make some people simile.

So with that in mind, I'm asking you, what small, simple things bring you joy?

Mine is getting into a freshly made bed, especially if I've had a nice, relaxing bath before hand. Feels like heaven Smile

Being the first person to use a condiment...that initial knife in moment! Seeing my dog smile at me as she runs to catch up on a nice walk. All of the beautiful daffs in bloom by the roads. Topping up the soil into my house plants. Biting the chocolate off a malteaser in as few bites as possible Blush.
I do the Malteaser thing too and it genuinely brings me joy (I refer to the technique as "peeling" my Malteasers, and no-one else in my family understands my ways (they are horrified!))

Opening a fresh jar of coffee.

Being greeted by my dog when I come home.

Seeing the first daffodils show their head each spring.

Sunshine.

Watching the wildlife in our garden. We live semi rurally and I love it. We have a host of different birds including cuckoos, kestrels and sparrow hawks. We also have lots of rabbits, foxes, badgers, water voles, newts, stoats and hares. There is something different to see every day. Our favourite visitors are a pair of mallard ducks who come to our pond every day, and spend most of the day there. The female likes to sun bath on our sunloungers and gets most annoyed if she is disturbed 😆
