School dinners - senior school

For those of you who have children who buy their own school lunch in the canteen, how much roughly do they spend per day? DS seems to be spending roughly £3.50 a day for what doesn't seem like particularly nutritious food.

It's not particularly nutritious but they're teens, that's the least of my concerns! Mine spend around that if having dinners - that's a snack at the break, a sandwich of some description and a drink.

But for the past 18months, they have been taking packed lunches as social distancing, canteen changes etc were making it impossible to get lunch.
