Resorts in Majorca for a young family

Planning on a holiday with DP and DS who will be 8 months in June when we are hoping to go. Flying from Newcastle, Majorca/menorca seems to be the shortest flight but the transfers are long for the places I've been looking at. I haven't been to menorca since I was little so would prefer to go there. Can anyone recommend a resort in Menorca with a shortish transfer (preferably up to 1 hour) suitable for a young family?

Sorry, the title should say resorts in Menorca, not Majorca!

I'd recommend a hotel in Punta Prima as the transfer time from Mahon airport will be very short. Punta Prima hotels are near the beach which has some shops and restaurants. You can also travel into Mahon too which is lovely. There is a also a zoo which is a rescue centre for animals with a lovely little splash park not too far either.
