Where is Trigeminal neuralgia felt?

My GP suspects I have TN and is referring me to an ENT specialist for a diagnosis. Does anyone know if the pain can be felt around earlobe/neck and into jaw? I’m also having pain higher up in my cheek and around my eye. The GP won’t prescribe anything until I’ve got firm diagnosis so I’m just trying to cope with the pain but it’s miserable.

Look at diagrams of the trigeminal nerve. The pain can be felt anywhere along the nerve.

The trigeminal nerve has three branches. If you look here and scroll down to figure 4 there's a coloured diagram of which area each branch supplies:

It would be unusual for TN to impact more than one branch. Not saying it's impossible, but it's unusual.
