Second hand cars.. Worth selling now?

I've heard that now is a good time to sell second hand cars and just wanted to know if there is any truth in this or does it just apply to certain models /years etc. I've got a 2020 Mazda which, for financial reasons, I need to sell. Would now be a good time or is it worth waiting (it's an mx5 convertible so just wondering if it may be worth waiting until the summer?). I would add that I won't be getting another car. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I got a quote from Motorway a week or so ago, it was around £4k more than what we were expecting. Ours is leased, the plan is to sell the car and pay off the finance which is £4k less than the quote so we're happy. They are picking up at the weekend Smile

That's really helpful as I also have outstanding finance, so I'll get a valuation. Very many thanks.

I didn't think you can sell a leased car @Fatgalslim? You don't own it if leasing, and won't have the log book etc?

You can’t. Whatever @Fatgalslim is doing isn’t leasing.

You can sell a lease car, you pay if the finance and keep the difference. We just did it and put the 2.5k difference towards a new car.

It's on a PCP contract, is that not the same as leasing? Apologies if not, DP dealt with and I've not really had much involvement

Then it wasn’t a lease. Probably PCP or similar.
