It's a pricey area around here, yes, but £1.25m for a house you'd need to gut and start again Shock

I suppose you could just float on the presumably unheated swimming pool while you're waiting...

I misread the m in the title and thought someone was complaining about paying £1.25 for a conch shell or something

That would be a bargain - I remember spending my birthday £1 note on a conch shell in 1980!

I would be happy in a shell like that. Except it's not a shell, it was a family home that is a bit out of date. I am living in something much worse which is also not a shell, just knackered 1930's detached dump.

@girlmom21 - well the area one of the people live in is very wealthy and can afford it.

The other person apparently is single but in finance and always wanted a pool - next to my yoga studio.

DP's have a pool and had it fitted externally in SW France for holiday home but they complain about the cost sometimes. It's so hot in summer there though and 40 minute drive to nearest beach.

@theveryhungrycatapillar

It's gorgeous I love it!! Just needs some modernising! I clicked on the thread expecting it to be a very special and rare seashell to be honest lol!
@theveryhungrycatapillar - to me - that house and gorgeous aren't in the same sentence - the grounds are nice though.

I’d definitely keep that orange carpet 😂

rhowton · 21/03/2022 13:09

That's not a shell. That is land for 15 houses to be sold for £900k each.

HomeHomeInTheRange · 21/03/2022 13:10

LOL, OP the SE / London / Home Counties have many properties that will pique your outrage more than this one!

It has potential!
The out of focus snooker ball photo made me 😂
Maybe the agent was jealous it had room for a snooker table / games room ?
I wish I was a property developer , I'd get some lovely stairs put in and get rid of the 80s decor
It has a lovely garden
