We are looking at moving to Bridlington around the town centre area but we don’t know if there’s any areas to avoid renting etc. Does anyone here know Bridlington and have any tips? Thanks :)

I'm from Bridlington. You'll want to avoid living in the actual town area, lots of low level crime and disturbances. Same for the area that borders that actually town. Houses on the Crayke are quite nice lots of cul-de-sacs grouped together. The town gets a bad rap to be fair, but I've lived all over and irs definitely not the worst place I've lived.

That should say 'town centre' area. Also places to avoid, Westhill (gypsy road area) Trinity Road and West Street area. Cardigan Road area isn't too bad and Queensgate.

Thank you for the detailed reply! :D What do you mean by low level crime and disturbances? Anti social behaviour? :O

Yes anti social behaviour. Alot of fights when pouring out of the boozer, damage to cars, drug deals that sort of thing. My mum lives only a few houses away from the edge of town and has had people walk in her house drunk, garden stuff nicked, banging on doors with people running off.

It’s renowned for being a run down shithole.

newbiename · 21/03/2022 17:16

I've been it's grim

Monkeytapper · 21/03/2022 17:42

To echo what other posters have said, it’s a depressing, rundown, shithole

But probably decent hard working people live there too ? Not every one can afford to live in bloody hampstead or surbiton....
