I’m very stressed / anxious at the moment, and want to take a bit of action to help myself.

Looking for inspiration!

What little things do you do that make you happy? (Yoga? A walk? Anything!)

Seaside. Including a paddle if possible

Plant seeds, sit with your face in the sun, blast loud music and dance in the kitchen.

When I feel like this, I like to do something that shifts my mood rather than aim for happiness as that’s too difficult sometimes.
Go out somewhere. Even for a walk.
Call a friend or family member
Give something to charity even if it’s a donation to the food bank during the next shopping trip
Arrange something to look forward to
Listen to some music
Listen to some motivational talks on YouTube
Bake a cake or cook a nice dinner
Play with my dc outdoors
Write out a plan of how I can make some changes to improve my life

For me it a mixture of things, Yoga helps even doing 15 mins. A good book, planning a mini break, or a meet up with friends. Strangely even painting a room in my house can help. Cardiovascular exercise is another one - but I mainly fail at doing that 🤣

Freshly washed pjs and bedding, something nice for tea then reading a book in bed

I like: getting some fresh air, buying some fresh flowers daffodils this time of year) and putting them where I can see them - generally living room window, doing some yoga or just taking a few moments to sit outside in the sun and absorb the surroundings.

Oo yes freshly washed bedding that is line dried is also a good one!

I found it useful to get a nice notebook and make a list of all the resources you can call on to lift your mood. I think the simple ones are the best as easy to do. Some of mine include:
Go for a short walk or longer if you can with a podcast
Drink water
Swim in river or sea
Phone a friend or go walking together
Practice gratitude - really helps to lift your mood and can be for very simple things - healthy kids, nice breakfast etc.
Self kindness meditation- I use headspace app. Game changer for me
Fresh clean bed and good book
Essential oils, face mask etc.
Breathing
Drawing/painting
Any kind of exercise
