We have a huge American style one. Cost £750 from Curry's.

Love it!

Not a fridge freezer, but we have a Beko under counter freezer (in the garage), a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and cordless vac.

Brenna24 · 19/03/2022 20:55

My last one was. I had it for 18 years and it was still going strong when I moved out of that house.

Should have said that I much prefer to vacuum cleaner to the Dotson that lives upstairs. The dishwasher has a cutlery tray and is very quiet. The washing machine and tumble dryer have good energy ratings and are as economical as it’s possible to be.

Yes got one when our Samsung fridge freezer broke during the first lock down. We got a beko as it was the quickest and one of the few we could get delivered while the whole country was on lockdown. Had it 2 years and it's very good.

Dyson

PinkPlantCase · 19/03/2022 20:58

Yes, used to. The freezer died after about 4 years.

I always saw them as a cheaper brand that wasn’t expected to last.

hellcatspangle · 19/03/2022 21:00

Yes, we have had one for years and had no problems.

watcherintherye · 19/03/2022 21:02

Although Beko are considered ‘low end’, we’ve had one for over 3 years which has been v reliable so far! We’ve got a 50/50 fridge freezer - no ice or water, though. I’m envious!

lucysmam · 19/03/2022 21:21

I've had my Beko fridge/freezer for at least 7 years, and bought it second hand so it's probably closer to 10 years old.

Never had a problem with it & would definitely consider Beko again when I need to replace it.

theoldtrout01876 · 19/03/2022 21:22

Wow thanks for the quick reply's. They are not considered a cheap option here I have to say. I could get lots of American brands for half the cost of this. I have very little faith in American brands having had many over the years. I would go Bosch but they are very hard to get at the moment and cost about a grand more. I bought a beko dishwasher, it claims to be quieter than a bosch. Its not installed yet though.
I have a HUGE samsung at the moment, but its too big for my kitchen, always was. It has decided to spring a leak in the water system and floods under the deli drawer then freezes and I have to take the drawer out and remove a 2 inch thick sheet of ice every couple of months. Im leary about replacing it with a smaller samsung as all the reviews say they are now crap. They cost more than the beko too.

Thank you all so much

I have one. Got it from Currys just over three years ago, frost free (yay!). Cost about £220 ish from memory and (touch wood) has been excellent.

WeAreTheHeroes · 19/03/2022 21:29

We have a Beko washing machine and Beko freezer. I think they're pretty reliable. It's a Turkish brand.

LadyJaneHall · 19/03/2022 21:32

My first Beko fridge lasted a couple of weeks past the one year guarantee and the second one lasted two years.
I would never buy anything Beko again.

Cuphalffullor · 19/03/2022 21:35

We have a Beko fridge freezer. Can’t remember how long we’ve had it but must be more than 7 years. No problems.

fizzyfood · 19/03/2022 21:38

Beko fridge freezer is 20 years old, never had a problem with it.

DaisyWaldron · 19/03/2022 21:43

I'm about to replace ours because it's a bit worse for wear after 21 years. I'll be getting another Beko.

Sally2791 · 19/03/2022 21:57

Had one for 12 years + no problem

feellikeanalien · 19/03/2022 21:58

We bought a Beko fridge freezer. About three months after we go it, it kept tripping all the electrics in the house. We had to get an electrician in and also had to have a night in a B&B until we could work out what was causing it.

I bought it from ao and when the customer service department there set up a three way call with Beko I was told they could arrange for an engineer to come out in a week. I was not happy so ao then agreed to arrange a replacement which was actually better at no cost to me. So no I would not buy Beko ever again. Not just for their shit quality but also poor customer service. It may be better in the States.

CambsAlways · 19/03/2022 21:59

Yes we got one, frost free, drinks dispenser, love ours so far five years old, no probs

greyspottedgoose · 19/03/2022 22:11

Iv had a beko fridge freezer, washer and dryer for 3.5 years when I got my flat, no issues at all really happy with them

AuditAngel · 19/03/2022 22:11

We have a Beko freezer, about 7 years old. We used to have a Beko fridge freezer, it was old when DH bought his house 20 years ago and the previous owner left it behind. We replaced it during lockdown

Sahgah · 19/03/2022 22:14

Our beko was terrible and get freezing the food in the fridge section. We had a beko washing machine that also only lasted 5minutes. Wouldn’t ever buy a beko again.

Anothermnuser · 19/03/2022 22:36

Yes! It’s 20 years old, has lived in the garage for the last 12 and hasn’t given us any problems.

HoppyHop · 19/03/2022 23:51

We've had our Beko American style fridge/freezer for 12 years. It's moved house with us too. Still working very well. No issues.
