I’m drifting through the podcast world and struggling to commit to anything, I’d very much welcome your recommendations!
I love something a bit spooky/creepy, either fiction or non fiction and if there’s a historical slant so much the better. I do also enjoy scaring the shit out of myself!
I’ve enjoyed:
Uncanny
The Battersea Poltergeist
Every single episode of You’re Dead to Me

Unexplained - I don’t love the narrator
Lore - just couldn’t get into it but if there’s a particular episode that people recommend I’ll give it another go.
I’ve tried a couple of fictional spooky podcasts but haven’t got further than 10 minutes or so but I’d like to give more a go on a positive recommendation!

Thank you 😊

From your description I'd suggest

  • family ghosts
  • noble blood
  • the one that was British and norwegian about the woman who went missing. Can't remember the name.

Redhanded! It's true crime so depending on the crime talked about it can be a bit creepy!
I think the two ladies who host are fab, they do a lot of research and there's a lot of funny banter. I listen to it on Spotify.

The Lovecraft Investigations - BBC Sounds

Proper creepy.

I liked the podcast about Adnan, in jail for murdering his GF I'm going to look up the name. Also the Missing Maura Murray podcast. But I do like real crime things.

Serial. How could I have forgotten that.

Not a ghost podcast, which I love, but a missing child called Fairy Fields on BBC sounds

@StrictlyAFemaleFemale thank you for signposting, I’d forgotten there was a podcast board!
Thanks for the recommendations, I’ll be busy adding them to my list tonight!
