On your school folder did you...

I found an old school folder at my mothers house recently and i must say it made me laugh. Covered in awesome song lyrics and caricatures of classmates. "If I've gotta be damned you know I want to be damned dancing thru the night with you!" and other crackers. Anybody else remember what was on their school bag/folders??

Haha, not really but I do remember having to cover our jotters in old wallpaper!!

Our school was very strict so we were only allowed to "back" our books and only in plain coloured paper and sticky backed plastic

I found one of mine where I'd written "She heard you fart". I wrote it to my friend as she'd trumped in class and the teacher looked at her and laughed

Stickers and lyrics here! I remember we would get in trouble for having anything on our exercise books but were allowed one page on our organisers :D we always wrote stuff on eachothers back packs as well, I suspect most teens are too self conscious for such things now which is a shame.

Plus lots of these for some reason

Ours were covered in posters from Smash Hits dance 🕺

Song lyrics, stickers (I seem to remember having a lot of Lord of the Rings ones from when Fellowship came out), Garfield comic strips cut out from the newspaper and doodles, all covered in sticky back plastic so it lasted

Poster of Morten Harket covered my french book and someone drew a Hitler moustache on him

Oh yes, all books were covered in the centre pull out poster from Smash Hits and then covered in clear film without getting bubbles in it.

I remember my mum taking me on trips to Clinton’s to choose beautiful sheets of wrapping paper to cover my books in. Paper first, then a layer of sticky back. I used to take book covering very seriously!

Also I remember a weird trend where people covered their ring binders in fun fur. Why? I have no clue! But it was definitely a thing!

Mine were covered in sparkly wrapping paper or album covers and smash hits posters. I seem to remember a teacher commenting on my mix of Backstreet Boys, Nirvana, Jesse Spencer and Brandon Lee (in the crow) 😂

Me and some friends got in trouble regularly for using the centre pages of our books for conversations - we would write in different colour pens to each other, usually being horrible about the teachers or talking about boys we fancied.

My History test book written by Denis Richards. I doodled on D and made him Penis Richards. My mother noticed and I was terrified, but she found it quite funny!

Yes, I used to doodle that worm too!! Had forgotten until you said, why was that a thing!? Also drawing random anime style eyes was a thing for some reason
