Newport Pagnell or surrounding areas

Anyone know if NP is a nice place to live, or any of the surrounding areas not far from it

Are you thinking of NP for any particular reason? I’ve never lived there, but it used to be our closest town. It has decent amenities and the church/river is pretty. There’s a fair amount of traffic going through the centre, but it may be that it’s quieter elsewhere. Obviously one of the main benefits is how close it is to the M1 and Milton Keynes.

In terms of surrounding area, were you thinking one of the villages like North Crawley or in Milton Keynes itself?

I’m asking for a friend really she wants to move out to that particular area, so not to far from MK , I don’t actually know the areas at all, Are the villages nice as well. I know she doesn’t want to go too close to MK sewannoying

Is there a reason she wants to move there? What’s the budget? Does she need schools? It’s a bit hard to advise without some detail, as people’s perception of ‘nice’ varies.

Newport is lovely - it has a busy high street and lots of nice areas, parks, a river, various town events etc. Olney isn’t too far away and that’s another nice market town too. Lots of pretty villages around both of those between MK and Bedford.

Depends what she’s looking for really, shops, schools, bustling village social scene etc but I’ve lived in various places and always end up coming back this way.

No children ,400k , she’s not bothered about social scene,
