Childrens behavioural specialist

I’m trying to find a behavioural specialist based in London (zone 1 or 2 ideally). I’ve an 8 year old (son) currently awaiting assessment for ? ASD/ADHD/ODD. He can be really difficult and non compliant, doesn’t really have many friends, going out with him is hard work. In fact just being his mum is draining. I’ve two older children and work full time. He has no contact with his dad, and I don’t have any support. There was a significant amount of DV from his dad towards us prior to his dad leaving when he was 2 years old. Any recommendations greatly appreciated

Does he fit the description of PDA profile autism?

Once that is identified, the specific strategies can be really helpful

Thanks @malteser71, I’ve not heard of that. Will have a look into it x

Did you look at PDA?

Runningmummy41 · 23/03/2022 20:44

Hey, yes I did. It’s an interesting one as there’s definitely some things that have made me wonder whether that’s what’s possibly going on. I definitely think he’s an anxious child bust masks it effectively x

Blue Sky in London and Scotland.

They have literally saved our family.

Could he possibly have attachment difficulties?
