Boys 3-quarter pants/shorts

Hi everyone,

I have 2 boys aged 11 and 6. Both of them suffer from eczema around the knees so they like to keep that area covered. However, in the summer they love wearing shorts, which creates a big problem.

In the past I have managed to get 3-quarter shorts which they have been happy with from H&M. However, I think they have stopped doing them and when I've been on their website they only have limited sizes left in the ones that they do have.

Is anyone aware of anywhere else I could find these kinds of shorts? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not what you are asking, but their eczema being exposed to the sun would be good for it and help it heal.

Thanks for your reply. They do get plenty of son exposure when they are out in the garden but this is for when they are out and about. My youngest isnt too bothered but my eldest is very self conscious about it.

It's a shame but understandable. One of my kids has it too.

I'm afraid I can't help on the 3/4 shorts though. I think unfortunately they are a fashion that has pretty much passed which may make them harder to find. You can get walking trousers that zip off at that length though.

JD Sports sell boys Adidas 3/4 shorts/pants in sizes 5-16 there £22 so bit pricey but might be something your looking for.

As suggested earlier, boden baggies are just below the knee. You can also get those trousers that zip into shorts. They tend to be 3/4 on my son.

Perhaps have a look on eBay for the H&M ones etc?
