I'm going to be in Rossendale on Sunday morning with DD (18 months) while DH takes part in a cycling race.

Are there any nice cafes or activities we could do? We're coming from Liverpool and don't know that part of Lancashire too well. We'll have the car so could travel a bit.

You could go on the steam train to Bury - Google East Lancashire Railway.
