Best way to clean washing machine

Its got a slight smell.
Dh closed the door on it. I always leave open.
I used the fabulousa cleaner that I normally do every so often but its still whiffy.

White vinegar. Use a mugful on a hot wash.

Run it on a 90° wash (just this once, it's not necessary normally) with washing soda crystals in the drum.

I assume u have checked the rubber seal. If that’s clean. Once a week I take out the drawer. Clean that and inside the drawer. I then shove a ton of vinegar in there and run it on a hot wash.
Maybe try a wash with just washing powder and softener ( if u use it ).

90 degree wash with nothing in it.

A 90 degree wash with nothing in will for the job , same as PP’s suggestion

You don’t need washing soda or zooflora or anything like that

Oh. And wipe out the rubber bit around the door (with a towel) in case water is standing there
