Inspired by a different thread.. tell me about a time you have caught someone in a lie, not a small white lie. What was it and how did you find out they were lying? I'll start.. in school my friend told me her mum was pregnant, her mum was actually a dinner lady at our school. Time passes and she keeping bringing up how excited she was, finds out it's a girl, can't come out because they are painting her new sisters room. Really going into depth, however me and the rest of the group knew she was lying as she had a habit of it. One of the girls said she'd go and ask her mum. All of a sudden we couldn't go ask her mum as she was devastated she'd had a miscarriage. She then went further into the lie and said it happened whilst the family were on the motorway, so they had to pull over and have a ceremony at the side of the motorway !! told my mum as I believed her and felt awful, my mum couldn't keep her mouth shut and said she's so sorry when she next saw the woman, friends mum was confused and asked if she'd got the wrong mum of the group. Stupid lie, we were only about 13 but me and friends thought we were master investigators as she lied a lot and we had finally caught her
