What lovely books on UK would 2 American children enjoy?

I would like to buy a book each for a 6 year old boy and a 10 year old girl
who will be visiting us for a holiday later this year. They have never been to the UK and I'd love to give them each a gift they ca take home with them and keep and hopefully treasure. Are there any books you can recommend please? I've been to a large book shop but not seen anything that really grabs me. TIA

My children loved the Paddington Pop Up book of London when they were younger. It’s quite expensive but a bit of a keepsake.

Maps of the United Kingdom by Rachel Dixon is a lovely children's book, with detail for all areas of the UK
