Problem taking picture for DVLA at post office

Hello,

I have to renew my driving license (not British so I have to do every 10 years) and the reminder suggests doing it in person at the Post Office.

I went there today and the clerk took my picture 5 times and each time the app said it didn’t meet the guidelines.

I don’t know if he was being useless or maybe the app was off today..?

It’s a pain for me to do it by mail because I would have to send in my original passport, which I would rather not do.

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if you tried going to a different branch.

Everyone, Brits included, have to renew every 10 years.
It sounds like the person taking your photo was sloppy. I have renewed my license at a PO, and it was fine.

We were trying to take pictures at home and it was very difficult - even with a plain wall background it didn't like it - I think it was lighting and shadows that were the problem

We had a nightmare trying to do my DD's first driving license. It got rejected 5 or 6 times before it went through

He tried it against a plain wall inside and then with me sitting inside the Photo Booth so maybe the lighting wasn’t great.

After the 5th time he told me that was it…

I’ll go somewhere else tomorrow.

We were laughing about it because I’m so un photogenic and I told my husband it’s official, there’s something wrong with my face…
