I have a thing about trying to leave 3 hours between meals. No idea why it’s 3 hours! I found myself working out when I could have lunch during breakfast this morning.

My noodles have to be drained I can’t stand much liquid in them also not much milk on cereal. I prefer my toast cold.

@Playplayaway

I add up groups of numbers. Mainly number plates but numbers on digital clocks too. Any group of numbers really. I then add the digits formed together. So 59 becomes 14 becomes 5. I've done it since I remember. Ironic thing is I'm crap at maths. I just like adding numbers.
I do this too and am also crap at maths. I've never told anyone

I bit the inside of mouth accidentally years ago and it made a little swollen cut. I started chewing at it and now when I'm stressed I start chewing it again making the blister appear again. My husband tells me to stop eating my face but I'm not always conscious of doing it.

@Chishnfips

Volume has to be on an even number

Eating crisps, biscuits, sweets has to be an even number

When I finially get up if I'm snoozing the alarm I can only get up at 5 minute intervals. Getting up at 7:47 or 7:52 is just madness.

I came here to say exactly this. I have to eat things in even numbers. If I'm eating a bag of skittles there can't be be odd number of each colour either. My husband gets all the odd leftovers 🤣 I can't have the volume on an odd number or it bugs me.

I make tunes in my head

I have numbers constantly in my head

I smile at myself when looking in the mirror

When my neighbours are out in their garden, I wait until they go in before I hang my washing out. Cannot stand small talk.

When getting ready for a big night out, I have butterflies like a teenage girl going to her first party.

I never ever take the item at the front of the shelf at the supermarket.

When writing my shopping list, I visualise each aisle in the supermarket so my list is in order.

We have 3 shelves in a cupboard. This cupboard is for mugs only. Lots and lots of different sets of mugs. But woe betide anyone emptying the dishwasher who puts the wrong mugs on the shelves. If they do, I have to swap them round so they are in their right places.

I rub the skin in front of my ear when I'm thinking. It's annoying actually because sometimes it makes it dry/irritated.

Saffrondoormouse · 15/03/2022 16:54

I find it hard to look at ‘spiky / intricate things’ like circuit boards or pin cushions and try to avoid them. If I do inadvertently come across them, I imagine them going into my eyes so I have to screw my eyes shut.

No idea why? I’m terribly short sighted with astigmatism so maybe it’s connected?

I few,

I play daft quite a lot, mainly to keep the peace, as sometimes if I know my perspectives are accurate, rather than get into a debate I keep the peace and make a comment something along the lines of I mistakenly thought x etc, I try to pick my battles so to speak.

I sometimes vary my route, e.g. Use bus, or use bicycle, ect, depends on speed,.weather and if I'm being lazy.

I usually buy reduced or on occasion chip shop, mainly as I get to try more expensive foods at a cheaper price.

I don't really have a specific best friend, I have a mix of people around me, some seem trustworthy to a degree, but I'd never hand them my personal psychological profile and intrigues so to speak.
Usually I prefer the people that seem to have no real angle or ego, no real sense of Machiavellian personality about them, as my closer type of friend's,.as at least in theory their is no mask so to speak, it's not a golden rule but it's one I consider and try to aim for.

I tend to do different projects, e.g. I see a tv documentary or I get inspiration by a film ect, then I study the real life science, behind it ect. In theory the projects help me learn a bit more about different topics.

The grain of the wood in my square coffee table has to go lengthwise, my dd used to turn the table around to annoy me.
When I make the bed the duvet cover has to be even both sides and pulled as straight as possible.
I have to warm my plate before serving hot food on it.

Ladyladylady · 15/03/2022 17:28

If offered a hot drink by anyone in my family I say I’d love a cup of tea, I’ve never drank tea in my life, I mean coffee. I always ask family members if they want tea, they will say yes and I just know who wants real tea or who like me mean coffee. I don’t do this to regular humans just my own family. My husband was very baffled by this but now always asks if I want tea.
