Signs of PE

Hi ladies,

Need some opinions. I am currently 37 weeks pregnant. I have every symptom of PE except high blood pressure, I have had protein in urine twice but then it goes away. I have been checked out 4 times over the last week and they just keep sending me home. I have the worst headache that even codiene isn’t touching and I can barely see. Everytime they tell me to come in they just send me home as bubs fine and pressure is low. Same thing happened to my mum with me, she ended up having her PE SHOW up after birth. I don’t think I can continue on like this, but they won’t help. I’ve gained so much fluid too

Any advice would be great

Have you had any blood tests? My body does this every time I'm pregnant, I get pre-e but the blood pressure is the last thing to show up.
It happened in my first pregnancy and pre-e wasn't diagnosed till 39 weeks despite having the other symptoms, not to scare you but it spiralled out of control quite quickly and I had to have magnesium sulphate the bring my BP down in labour.
This time they monitored me more closely and at 35 weeks they spotting some signs and I was asked to go up to hospital where they did some blood tests, there's a very new blood test available that measures your placental function (PGF) and that can be a good indicator of whether you will get pre-e or whether you have it. Keep getting checked if your concerned about absolutely anything, don't worry about feeling like a pain.

I'm also very surprised they're not concerned about the headache, do you have visual disturbances? I had this with DC2 but not DC1. The doctors where very concerned and I had to stay in a few times to be monitored despite not having high BP. This time though my BP was up by 36 weeks but I do feel it was taken much more seriously than with DC 1.

I have had bloods done 4 times aswell and they are apparently “perfect” same thing with my mum but they don’t seem to care. Yeah I’ve had vision spots and I can barely read. Which is why this is super annoying that they just keep sending me home

I also have had “high” bp for me twice now. I’m generally quite low but that doesn’t seem to bother them either
