Is approaching

So I thought it would be a good idea (and so I can get ideas!) of gifts/ways to celebrate

I don't want to get my mum one of the standard gifts yet again so I'm looking for ideas.

So far I have -

Various monogrammed items

Luggage & accessories

Yea short list!

She is recently widowed which while sad for her in some ways as she was dads carer it also means she has something of a new lease on life.

Gifts that don't work (but feel free to post ideas that others may use) are sweets, alcohol and perfumed things for medical reasons

Also maybe post what you're hoping to get as that may spark ideas too!

I have a book by a favourite author I'm hoping to receive and a "fancy" mug in my favourite colour - I'm easy pleased and dd is a broke student!

So let's see what people come up with!

Oh yes! My mum is very green fingered unfortunately I am not and would likely give her something utterly useless!

If recently widowed things for the garden are a really good idea. When a family friend’s husband died she spent loads of time in the garden.

A rose might be a nice gift, they have names that might mean something, my mum just bought one from David Austin (I think)
I’m going to get my mum an Emma Bridgewater travel cup.
