I wanted to watch the channel 4 programme about the Jeremy Kyle show last night so I stayed up until 10. This was a massive mistake as my son woke up about an hour and a half later, so I’d been asleep for maybe an hour, and then wouldn’t go back down until 2, and I was up at 6.
And it got me thinking how 10/1030 is a totally normal bedtime but it’s a majorly late night for me now. Last year I was OK with it as temporary but now I am getting a bit fed up and wanting a bit more downtime in the evening. As it is I have to go to bed pretty much when he does in order to get some proper sleep. It feels like my life is work sleep work.
