I have my enhanced DBS on the update service. Have been applying for jobs that require enhanced DBS and I need to start work asap, just discovered that payment wasn't taken for the update service this year so it's expired even though it was on auto renewal. I have been on the update service since I got my last job and had been paying yearly for this and so never got to make use of what I've been paying for! I'm really annoyed.
So now I have to do enhanced DBS all over again. Anyone who's had one done recently, how long has it taken? I've always lived in the same area of Warwickshire, never changed my name, clear record, if that makes a difference. I feel sick at the thought of potentially going a couple months without pay while waiting for DBS.
