I have been reading a lot of threads that suggest people could afford to buy a bigger house/holiday if only they cut back on coffees, nail extensions, pedicures. Whilst I know that some squander money on beauty treatments, restaurants, high end clothes, car leases, there are those who cut their cloth accordingly and still cannot move to larger homes or go on long haul holidays.
Some lifestyles are just out of people's reach. Earning power, investments, inheritance, financial support from family all impact how comfortable our lives are.
At times gel nails, the occasional coffee, pair of shoes is the only luxury some can afford.
