Optifast - anyone used the shakes for weightloss?

I've got 3 stone to lose and despite various attempts I've failed to lose it. I found the NHS has had a decent success rate through prescribing a soup and shake diet. I think the shakes they use are Optifast which you can buy online. I'm thinking of getting some but as with most of these things, it's not very cheap so keen to see if anyone on here has experience of using Optifast and what they thought of it? Thanks!

No experience of optifast but lost 3st in 5m last year using Exante. Kept it off since august.

I did look at those but thought they were a bit pricey for something not guaranteed

I ended up on saxenda pen which is pretty effective for me

Hold your horses and come over to a thread in Weight Loss Chat for The New You Plan. I have been on it for 6 months today and have lost 5 stones and 8lbs. (That includes a very slow month weight loss this month as I am struggling emotionally after a bereavement).
The plan works out at about half the price of Cambridge and Lighterlife, has a great FB support group too.
If you want more details or a discount code, pm me, I love to chat about it. I am not paid to advertise it!

I'm using the Tesco shakes and have lost 27lbs in 6 weeks, they're £4.50 for 10.

Good old Tesco!!

Day 2 on saxenda and that rumbly hungry feeling has gone! Didn't expect that, thought it would be a more reduced hunger not zero

Last night I said to do that I felt I should be snacking but just wasn't hungry

Will have to remember to eat with no physical prompt to!

Thanks folks. I might give the Tesco ones a bash first actually to see how I get on ditching meals and sticking to the shakes. And I'll check out new you programme, not heard of it before.

The thing that's made the biggest difference and kept me on track is joining a little WhatsApp group with a few women who are also on the diet.
I joined the Cambridge diet Facebook group (it's not official and nobody other than this group of women know I'm actually on Tesco shakes which are almost identical in nutritional content), anyway, on there I commented on a post from a woman who was struggling and we created a little group from there, we message a couple of times a day and I find it really beneficial having daily support from a small group of people rather than a whole forum, we set little challenges and it's made it really fun.
Plus the results are so quick and I'm fitting into old clothes each day which is great motivation.
