Just wondered if anyone has any insight into how NHS waiting lists work (here’s hoping)
I’ve been waiting for laparoscopic surgery and excision since January last year. However I changed trust and went on their waiting list in September. Had a February date given, but it was cancelled the day before. Nothing since, and when I called just to ask about how this works and my pre op assessment running out, they couldn’t get me off the phone soon enough.
I know that an on the day cancellation means you have to have a new date within 28 days.
Just want to know if I’m back at the bottom of the heap really. I don’t think my time spent on a waiting list at a previous trust will be considered.
I feel so anxious about not knowing what’s going on inside me.
