Airports and liquids

I know you can't take liquids larger than 100mls through airport security.

It's been a number of years since I have flown, but can I buy some shower gel etc inside the airport after security?

We are going somewhere where they will be much more expensive to buy. They are making my luggage just over the 23kg allowed.

Yes.

Yes. There will very likely be a boots or a superdrug airside. If you go onto your airports website, it will tell you what shops there are. Just make sure you select airside or after security.

That's lovely thanks so much. I will buy them there and carry them in hand luggage!

Thanks

I always fold up a canvas bag or two in the bag I take through security, that way I've one for my lotions and positions I'll be buying and another for my 10 Boots meal deals I'll boredom eat on the plane. Grin

Yes, there will be a Boots, and prices are reasonable.

The 23kg is for checked luggage.

TBH, 23kg is huge. My luggage this week was 11kg.

Meant to say, that way I don't need to squeeze the sun cream etc I've just purchased into my handbag. I like to think I'm socking it to the man and cheating the restrictions!

Just bear in mind some airlines will expect you to have just your piece of hand luggage only and no other bags. It depends who you are flying with but the likes of easyjet and ryanair will force you to put any duty free into your hand luggage. I would double check the airline you are flying with first.
