Hi. Do you use neighbourhood apps? I can only find Nextdoor, but o find it very busy looking. I wanted to join up as we're moving to a new area. Things like recommend gardeners, window cleaner...

Is there something other than Next door?

There’s usually an area/town Facebook page. Is that an option?

I'm not on Facebook. The app mentioned is a bit like Facebook, very busy to look at, not simple to read. Perhaps it's because I'm new to it.

You could join Facebook & use it for your local group

Nextdoor is awful in our area. It’s people posting ring photos of teens/dog walkers with “does anyone recognise?”, lost cat photos or people asking questions they could easily Google and get the answer to that’s why I suggested FB, there seems to be a bigger mix of people on the FB groups (I don’t ‘do’ FB) and a lot more community things posted.

Thanks for the tips. I agree, it's all quite random. Lol- why can't it look neat and simple like Mumsnet! 😂

I'm not a FB fan but it really is useful for this kind of thing. Use a fake name if you don't want people you know to see you on there.
