Nokia, Samsung or Alcatel mobile phone?

Would you chose a Nokia, Samsung or Alcatel phone?

Trying to make the decision between three phones, Nokia and Samsung same price, Alcatel £1 cheaper. All have same storage. Samsung has less data, but should be enough for me. Nokia water resistant. Others would probably look at other features.

Do you happen to know the model of phones you're looking at?

aliloandabanana · 12/03/2022 08:04

If you want to make wifi calls, check that the Nokia supports this. I had one recently and it didn't.

Nokia G10, Alcatel 1S 2021 and Samsung Galaxy A12. They're all basic phones, but far better than what I have at present, so will be sufficient.

Thanks for the Nokia tip, alilodabanana.

I have had a few Samsung phones and like them very much. Easy to transfer all apps etc

BarbaraofSeville · 12/03/2022 10:48

I know you've listed some makes, but Motorola do good phones for that sort of price range, so might be another option.

I've always had Samsung. Just got the A12 for my dd as her first phone. It does a perfectly adequate job if you don't want anything flash

aliloandabanana · 12/03/2022 16:38

I too have an A12 now and I like it - easy to use, plenty of storage space and, as a previous poster says, very easy to transfer over to (even from a different make of phone).

I have that Nokia phone as my work phone and find it useless. Having said that my personal phone is Apple so maybe it's because it's android I don't get on with it.

Taleas0ldastime · 12/03/2022 17:24

I always buy Samsungs, maybe just what I'm used to now but prefer them to other brands.

Thanks for your replies. I've been pondering on this all day while doing other things and decided on the Samsung - great as I've come on here before ordering to check any comments and looks like it'd be the top choice.
