Could I get pregnant?

Sorry for asking on here, feeling a bit worried and worked up. I have a regular 28 day cycle, not on any contraception, and had sex on day 20 of my cycle and the condom split. I have a period tracking app which said that isn’t a fertile day for me so I didn’t worry, but now I’m beginning to wonder how accurate it is.

Does anyone know how likely it is for me to have ovulated that late in my cycle? Or am I worrying about nothing?

Yes its possible. Can you get to a pharmacy for the morning after pill?

grey12 · 11/03/2022 06:02

The answer is usually yes 🤷🏻‍♀️ I would get the morning after pill personally

Thanks for the replies, online it says the morning after pill only works to prevent/delay ovulation so as I’m in the last part of my cycle it unfortunately wouldn’t do anything Sad

For what it's worth, I used cycle tracking for nearly two years and didn't get pregnant having sex in my non-fertile windows. I have had sex a grand total twice inside my fertile window and got pregnant both times.

Thanks @Cegbee , according to my app I had sex 4 days after my fertile window ended, so fingers crossed all is ok. I have ordered the natural cycles thermometer and I’m going to use that from now on.

Your app is basing your ovulation date on the average of 14 days. Unless you give the app other information, like temperature and LH levels, then it will always estimate ovulation day to be the average so not accurate. Yes, you can ovulate on day 20 of a 28 day cycle although it’s rare. You can just have a month where you ovulate later, which you have no way of knowing in advance. The morning after pill will delay ovulation if you haven’t already ovulated but it won’t do any harm if you have ovulated. I’d still personally take the morning after pill on the off chance that I ovulated late this month or my ovulation is usually later than the average.

Thanks for this reply, really helpful, I’ll get the morning after pill today just on the off chance I have ovulated late.
