Talk to me about food processors

Been a long exhausting work day and two smalls have just gone to bed and i have got a G&T. I would like to now discourse about food processors.

We need something that chops vegetables. That’s it. Something which will chop me piles of veggies for salads, and will remove the hassle of chopping boards and knives to manually chop veggies. I want to pop in the veggies and they come out chopped.

No blending needed.

No baking or soup making needed.

No grinding or making meatballs needed.

Just chopping veggies as automatically as possible.

Something that doesn’t have 57,000 parts of teensy proportions. Something that isn’t massive.

What do we need? I vaguely think of Magimix and Kitchen Aid and huge price tags and feel confused.

The 3 kitchen gadgets that we have had for years and use near daily are

Blender
Rice cooker
Instant Pot.

So whata our food processor going to be ?

We’ve recently updated our best food processor page with plenty of basic models for chopping and dicing, as recommended by Mumsnet users. We hope you find this helpful.

Maybe like this? I don’t have one but my parents do and use it for veg. I’ve mixer with a food processor attachment and is great for chopping big quantities of veg. Happy shopping!

I used to sell food processors for a fancy department store.

We mostly sold Magimix. I used to have one but ran out of space. A magimix with a slicing disc might do the job, but it cuts quite thin.
