Please give me your thoughts before I purchase one....

My partner drives one and I've driven it a few times recently. His is a diesel and I was really impressed with the acceleration and handling. I drive a fairly new ford focus and it feels really slow and heavy in comparison. The drivers seat in the Leon is nice and high too which is great for me as I'm 5ft4. Personally, I would get a Seat for my next car after driving his.

Look at Honest John website for reviews. I found it so helpful when looking to change cars.

Tells you pros and cons of each model.

Built on the same platform as VW Golf, Skoda Octavia and AUDI A3 - I would rate them.

Yes, very good. Experience of owning an Ibiza and a Leon. Also cheaper in terms of upkeep than the Polo or Golf

Dh just bought a leon, I hate it because it's too small, but I must admit it's a lovely drive.

Gardenerboo · 10/03/2022 17:40

I’ve had 2 (and an Altea). Seat love is strong here.
Reliable, comfortable and nice to drive. Would definitely have another.

familychallenge · 10/03/2022 17:40

I've had a few as hire cars and absolutely loved them- nice to drive, economical and nippy! I'd have bought one if I didn't need a really big car at the moment

Wishihadanalgorithm · 10/03/2022 17:48

Seats are great! We are a Seat family with an Ibiza and a Leon. I’ve had Seats before and they have always been good, reliable and a nice drive.

WowOoo · 10/03/2022 17:49

My neighbour loves hers. Was considering getting one.

jennywasafriendofmrbrightside · 10/03/2022 18:05

I've had 2 - absolutely lovely cars, would get another in a heartbeat

Cloverforever · 10/03/2022 18:10

I loved my old Leon. I have an Ibiza now as fancied a change but will probably go back to a Leon when I change it. Or maybe treat myself to the Seat Ateca. Lovely cars and good value for money.

MrsPatrickDempsey · 10/03/2022 18:17

We are a seat family. I had a 2014 Leon which I loved. Would have one again in a heartbeat. We upsized to an ateca and I now have an arona which is lovely. DD has a mii and we have had an ibiza. They are all really good

This is heartening ....thank you everyone ....my ds 20 has saved up the money himself and he has never spent such a large amount of his own cash...''tis a tad nerve wracking....

I have a SEAT Ibiza and I LOVE it. My 25 yr old DS borrowed when I was on holiday and his car was broken, and he loved it so much he went out and bought one too.

MrsS92 · 10/03/2022 18:43

We have a Leon estate and I absolutely love it! It’s really easy to drive, comfortable, and touch wood we’ve had no issues with it.
We would definitely get another seat if we decide to change or upgrade in the future.

Goldenphoenix · 10/03/2022 19:33

Love my Seat Leon! It's a Volkswagen underneath so very well built and fab to drive

SophB15 · 10/03/2022 20:05

I have a Leon FR, it’s a lovely drive and feels very safe.

Like a pp said, they’re built the same as VW and Audi.

Same. My DPs is automatic and I love it.
Nidan2Sandan · 10/03/2022 20:07

Excellent cars!

We're on our 3rd Seat now and plan to buy our 4th soon. Wouldnt consider another make of car now.

Bearnecessity · 10/03/2022 20:11

Definitely feeling the love for the Seat Leon.....

AlisonDonut · 10/03/2022 20:13

It is exactly the same as a vw...I had a golf company car and the OH had a Leon, exactly the same bar his was automatic.

We had to sell it last week and I bloody miss it.

PeacefulInTheDeep · 10/03/2022 20:19

My car is an 09 plate Leon and it's still going strong. Some of the electrics aren't functioning correctly (I could get them fixed if I wanted to but I'm too lazy) and it's mechanically sound.

DH has a new Golf as his company car and although they're the same chassis, mine is far roomier inside. It's served me well for festivals and now fits all the kids paraphernalia!

purdypuma · 11/03/2022 07:33

We are a Seat family, DM Dsis & her DH all have Leon's & Ibizas & have had other Seats before. No issues, very reliable. I'm the family exception with a mini but will definately be considering a Seat or a countryman when it's time to change.
The only problem is that Seats now hold their value very well & are not cheap to buy.
