Any festival goers about ?

Hi
I'm running free children's workshops at s small music festival this summer.

What, in your opinion, is the best / fairest booking method ??

Sign up sheet outside my marquee ?
Some sort of online system ?

I want something that gives everyone a fair chance at a booking (only 8 per session) and not have the slots dominated by one family / group

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Dep on the festival.... we go to a festival about 10000 capacity I think ( is that small these days? I don't know)
Anyway. The phone signal / WiFi provision/ 4g signal is woeful.

We couldn't rely on using it.... so that might not work .
Or it might work but we would be squinting at it and waving it around wondering if it had gone through 😆

When we last went to a festival there was a sign up sheet for cake decorating and you had to return at the allocated time. It seemed to work well.

I’ve found that booking too far in advance is a bit hit or miss because people who have signed up either forget or something else crops up at the time, especially with young children!

Thank you all for the replies.
I think a good old-fashioned sign up sheet is the way to go.
