Anyone had gunky eyes with a cold before?

I keep getting colds and coughs (not covid) but this time I've got awful gunky eyes with it too. I keep getting creamy discharge from them and they are getting really sore.

My little boy had something similar last week which cleared up within a few days however mine are much worse.

I hate bothering the doctors but is there something I can buy instead of ringing them? I tried boots refreshing eye drops but not made any difference

Yes, right now. Got done optrex eye wash after talking to chemist and it’s given relief

Could be conjunctivitis - i think you can get a bacterial or viral one and it's pretty contagious. It's often itchy as well as sore. Avoid touching your eyes but you might need treatment if it doesn't clear.

Could you have covid? Conjunctivitis is one of the common Omicron symptoms apparently.

Yes I have. It went away by itself in 2-3 days
