Home inspiration - I have no vision!

I am buying a new sofa and soft furnishings but have no idea colour scheme wise. Floors are wooden and walls magnolia. What colours would you go for?

What colours do you like? Is it quite a light room or dark? Any children / pets to take in to consideration?

Teal and mustard/rose gold

I was toying with the idea of a grey sofa and either navy or purple curtains.

Grey goes with most colours
Would look good with navy

Go for a cream sofa, dark blue curtains then gold or yellow and blue cushions. Nice rug as well.
