Pain in chest

Just a quick one!
Had a pain that I can pin point on the left side of my chest, near the middle and just above my boob for the last 2/3 weeks. It has come and gone but got worse each time, now it's getting quite bad and when it comes it's stopping me do activities and I have to sit down til it goes.

Rang the doc yesterday who said she thinks is muscular pain and just to take paracetamol/ibuprofen. I have been and it's not really helped.

Quite bad today. Should I call back? Not sure what to do

I think I would go to A&E. It is probably nothing but I wouldn't ignore.

Thank you @ThePlantsitter. For some reason I'd fee embarrassed if it was nothing though but I know that's stupid!

I spent a day in A and E a couple of weeks ago with exactly the same symptoms.

I had all the checks done and nothing untoward was found but it was very reassuring and the doctor told me I’d absolutely done the right thing by going. I had called 111 first and was told to go.
