I didn't even know I had an inner Richard Herring tbh.

DS (stroppy teen): Nobody cares about women's day.
Me : Women care, so that's at least half the population who do care
DS: There isn't even a men's day
Me (without even thinking): 17th November
DS: Really, but nothing happens then
Me: So organise something
Stroppy teen strops off to the Xbox

I mean, it's the 19th. That's probably why the 17th is quiet...

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 09/03/2022 10:16

The 19th? Well, by November he'll have forgotten exactly what I said so I'll probably get away with it. Grin

OP you have a great chance here, as i and a bunch of friends used to do on 8th March and 19th November.

On 8th we used to tweet the whole IWD thing, and there were the inevitable "when is men's day" so we bookmarked the worst offenders. We always used to tweet resources and things for men's day anyway, so about a week before we contacted all the IWD pests and said "we're doing this next week, want to join in?"
and either got insults or crickets back. (one or two, to be fair, did join in when pushed)

And on men's day to the "wahh wahh wahh nobody does things for men's day" pointed out that a) we did (as women) and b) nobody was actually stopping them doing something for themselves.

It is satisfying, tbh
