I really enjoyed the Autumn and Winter threads where posters shared their favourite things about the season including food, activities, books, sayings, decor and moments. Now that Spring is just around the corner, would anyone like to join me in a Spring thread?

I love seeing the flowers come to life - blossom, daffodils and crocuses are my favourite. Such a burst of colour after a long, grey winter! I can see a branch of blossom from my office window and and love it!

I love the smell of spring and hearing the birds in the morning . It makes me want to walk in the hills near my house with the dogs and take deep breath's of warmer air 🌻

Great thread OP. I love the bright clear blue skies - they remind me of my childhood. I also love to watch the sunset from my bedroom window,as the dappled light fades.

For me it's the daffodils! I love them - they are such hopeful flowers. I often buy them for people in the office which makes everyone smile and go on walks especially to look for them! Also love sitting outside in the sun with a cuppa in the morning!

Plastictattoo · 10/03/2022 08:00

Yes! I had my first cuppa in the garden yesterday morning.
Also love the daffodils 🌼 I think of them as happy flowers- possibly because I’m odd but their sunny colour and the way they seem to dance makes them seem cheerful souls! Does that make sense???
Anyone got any spring recipes? I can only think of more Easter ones and it seems too early for that

I love spring, the world comes back to life as if by magic. The blue sky and green of the fields makes me feel true joy. Birds singing and flowers blooming: beautiful

Great thread.
I love the lighter nights. I love that at teatime it's still light and it feels like there's more of the day to enjoy.

I work 2 evenings a week and I love the fact that when I leave it's still light.

Stepping outside without a million layers on and feeling the sun on my face.

I agree about daffodils. I treat myself to a bunch from the minute they get into the shops. They just cheer me.

It’s lovely to see shrubs coming back to life with buds on. I love to see the magnolias in all their splendour and the acacia is just beginning to go over now. I like the prospect of increasingly light evenings and light mornings.

I just come alive as the days lengthen and the air warms up. I like seeing the birds back in the garden and using the bird bath. As for recipes; it's rhubarb crumble until I burst.

Sitting in the garden with the sun on my face.
Daffodils, so cheap and cheering.
St Patrick's Day, Mother's Day, making plans for Easter.
Looking forward to retiring heavy winter coats, though not just yet.

In the depths of winter I found a crocheted " stri g" of daffodils in a charity shop for 50p. I've just weaved it round a twig wreath & hung it on my front door (spring comes quite late here), cheers me up whenever I open the door.

That sounds lovely and suits your username
