Going through a tough time, needs suggestions for things to distract me

As above really. Going through a horrific break up that I don’t want and can’t get over. Taking medication for both anxiety and depression. Have no money. Have had to come off Facebook, delete WhatsApp, all the rest of it because I can’t bare to see what’s happening with him. Other than mumsnet, playing candy crush and watching everything on Netflix, I have no idea how to occupy my time.

Any suggestions? What do you do for entertainment that doesn’t involve much effort/money?

I’m really struggling and not sure how much longer I can continue with it 😢

Exercise? You tube ones are free and make you feel so much better mentally

@ivegotthisyeah I wish I could do this. I think, the least I could gain from this is a hot body!!! But when I say anxiety and depression I mean I can barely get out of bed (I only do because I HAVE to because I have children that need me) actually mustering the motivation to DO something energetic? No chance. I know people who haven’t experienced these feelings might not understand (I’m not saying that’s you! Just in general) but honestly if I could curl up in a ball and sleep until the 12th of never, I would) I need it to just be something that’s lazy, but distracting, I guess, even some sort of rabbit hole website I could get lost in. I have the book “women who love too much” which is probably appropriate but I can’t even get past the first page. Im so sad.

I find diamond painting very soothing, there are loads of designs to choose from on eBay.

I was and still am going through a tough time (my eldest son died). I found writing a diary helpful - just say what comes into your head ( if you just want to say sh*t 50 times thats fine!). I used different coloured pens and also doodled/drew. It was cathartic in that it helped shape my feelings. A quote that helps me on bad days is a Churchill one 'When your going through hell keep going'. Other things that help - youtube vids - gymnastics/watching people have dreadlocks washed - Ive watched a lot of crap!! Good luck!
