Can anxiety effect your food preferences?

Normally I eat healthily and varied but since I started suffering quite badly with anxiety I find that I only want to eat plain carbs. Anything else makes me feel sick and I just don't have the appetite for it. This will not be good for my weight or general health obviously, but why would this be?

Carbohydrates are thought to increase the amount of serotonin in your brain, apparently.
