Semantle episode 3

Somehow we've almost filled 2 threads already so here is thread 3. I still need a distraction from the news, and Semantle certainly fits the bill.

To understand what I'm on about followthis link. It's a word game like Wordle in that you need to find the secret word of the day, but it works by semantics. So you input a word and it will tell you how close you are. You have infinite guesses.

For example, one of the secret words was 'costly' with expensive, cumbersome and burdensome being the three closest words.

The only thing 960 makes me think of is and how it links to the target word is Christmas.. so you are 960 when you do this. That's just me though and probably very irrelevant

945 would be a way of doing the target word

@BabbleBee if your not full of 906 you might do 1000 if you're Scottish

Ah I managed to get 982 then @ErrolTheDragon's hint got me to the solution

I solved Semantle #43 in 91 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 2.94. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #13. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 67.51 (998/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

FFS that was literally dragged out of me. I’d got variations of the target word and I’m still a bit baffled how it links to some of the green words I had!

Any chance of a hint, my highest is 960, but words I think are similar to that are comd?!?

I just gave up!! I had a lot of green ones but just couldn't understand what they had to do with the target word :(
