Somehow we've almost filled 2 threads already so here is thread 3. I still need a distraction from the news, and Semantle certainly fits the bill.

To understand what I'm on about followthis link. It's a word game like Wordle in that you need to find the secret word of the day, but it works by semantics. So you input a word and it will tell you how close you are. You have infinite guesses.

For example, one of the secret words was 'costly' with expensive, cumbersome and burdensome being the three closest words.

Well done! Not the final few words but the lower words are very American!

I solved Semantle #42 in 34 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 1.93. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #24. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 9.38. I found today’s harder than I should have - took me 10 guesses to get from 988 to the word - lifestyle reasons have totally severed that mental tie for me!
