Best socks to wear with a surgical boot.

I've recently broken my ankle and am now wearing a surgical boot. What type of sock is the best to wear with it? I have had surgery on both sides of the ankle and scars are really sore. I also have really chunky calves (have to buy my usual boots from retailers like Duo).

Just a thought you might find " soft grip" socks marketed for diabetics fit over the boot better than a normal size as they're stretchy

Yes Diabetic socks are stretchy and also generous at the top so less likely to dig in .
