Mother's Day gift ideas?

What are you all getting your DM's for Mother's Day this year?!

We're stuck for both my DM and DMIL, and it's my DM's birthday right on that weekend too so I need extra ideas for that but it's so hard, I struggled at Christmas too.

Thanks Smile

How old are they both, are they fit and healthy and what do they like?

My SM's is new-found-hobby related so it's boring haha.

We don't tend to go mad, it is usually a smallish gift - a bowl of violas or hyacinths, a book, bubble bath.

I'm just sending mine some fancy chocolates

Flowers always work

I got my mum some fancy bed socks last year, this year will be flowers.

My Mum keeps banging on that she wants another oodie as she pretty much lives in the one I got her for Christmas when she's at home so that's what she'll get - long-term I see it as I'm saving her a fortune in heating bills Grin

Flowers and her favorite chocolates, also a Mother's day slideshow or a from kids.

My favourite mothers day present is always a hanging basket. I know it sounds boring but I don't do gardening and having that bright basket of flowers hanging next to my door always cheers me up.

Thinking of things I would like (I’m 54)

Homemade cake
Lunch out (doesn’t have to be on the day)
Plants for my patio pots
A nice family photo in a pretty frame

I like pp’s idea of a hanging basket.

I'm getting an afternoon tea at local farm shop
Won't necessarily be on Mother's Day as I'm busy around then
