Gas and electricity charges/ credit

I know it’s been done to death but……

On Saturday l got an email regarding the price increase and l have been waiting as everyone is talking about it and saying how much it has gone up by, l was just talking to my husband who said look at the account what and let’s see what it says. Anyway turns out we are £300 + in credit. I don’t know how this has happened especially as my husband works from home and has constantly got the heating on.

We pay monthly l wonder if they calculate it and draw money from the account every three months. Does anyone know l can’t ring till Wednesday.

Have you supplied a recent meter reading? They may not update your balance until you do

I give monthly meter readings and then my supplier updates my balance and let's me know how much gas/electricity we've used that month

Yes we do this monthly on the last day of each month, we got stung a few years ago with a huge bill, l am guilty of not looking at the account my husband does it usually.

When was your last statement? You should be able to look at statement history and tell if they are monthly or quarterly.

Are you paying monthly or Qtrly? Has the most recent bill been paid i. E. In the last few weeks?
